Darcy holds a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Colorado with a focus in Marriage and Family Therapy. She spent 12 years working with young adults, teens, and their families in the school setting as an Intervention Specialist and School Based Therapist. And has worked the past 4 years in private practice, and working with College students and their families as a therapist and coach, specializing in helping students develop executive functioning skills. Darcy is also a mother and professional athlete and has lived in Colorado since 1993. She spent several years leading courses for the Colorado Outward Bound School, teaching skiing, and also coaching trail runners to help them reach their goals. She is passionate about using Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques with all clients and has continued research and training in this area of study.
Darcy currently works with young adults, teens, and adults. She sees clients both in a traditional office setting and also uses hiking and walking outdoors as a tool in therapy. As a professional athlete, she is also familiar with the challenges that athletes face when dealing with injury.
